NS Minor League (10U)

Minor League (10U) baseball is a fun team game, played within the Auckland Baseball Association league under Little League rules. It is a first experience of “real baseball” on a 60ft diamond – players have their first opportunity to do all the things MLB stars do like pitch, catch and hit home runs. At the same time, it is non-competitive to encourage equal participation and promote enjoyment of the game whilst developing the necessary skills.

Eligibility: Cannot turn 11 before 1/9/2026 (contact the club if you wish to seek dispensation)

Training: Weeknight TBD

Games: Saturdays at 0930 with home games at Albany Domain and away games at other clubs.

Gear: Standard club arrangements; No metal cleats; Male players must wear a box / athletic protector

Safety: Many of the rules of baseball, particularly at the younger age groups are focused on player safety; 10U grade is umpired by parents, coaches and junior players who are given basic training to ensure they can enforce player safety rules.
