DESCRIPTION:New Zealand Taiwan Day is a meaningful\, multicultural family event held every two years.  The purpose of the day is to introduce Taiwan’s rich culture to kiwi friends\, promote community-international exchanges\, friendships\, cooperation\, and enrich New Zealand’s multiculturalism. It is also an opportunity for all cultures to get together for fun\, flavours\, and friendship. \nTo grow and strengthen baseball in our local Taiwanese community\, North Shore Baseball is alternating each summer between hosting a Taiwanese Heritage Weekend at our baseball grounds and attending New Zealand Taiwan Day as a stallholder. So\, come and visit Taiwan Day and drop by our stall. In collaboration with Baseball New Zealand and the Auckland Baseball Association\, we’ll be displaying treasured memories of New Zealanders playing baseball in Taiwan and of Taiwanese teams visiting New Zealand\, providing information on how to participate in baseball locally\, and running some fund games and giveaways.

DESCRIPTION:Come along for a free pre-season baseball experience at Unsworth Reserve on 12 October. We’ll focus on activities for ages 5-12 from 9:00am to 10:30am and then ages 13+ from 10:30am to noon\, but please feel free to come along anyway if the time for your age group doesn’t work for you. We’ll have people there to introduce you to baseball and answer questions throughout. This event may be followed by a pre-season NS Knights game\, TBD.
