As a club, we strive to set fees fairly and representative of great value – our goal is more people enjoying more baseball.
Despite increasing costs, we have managed to keep fees mostly consistent for yet another year and have reduced the fee for add-on grades significantly. There have been some small changes as we adopt the new Baseball New Zealand (BNZ) process where (a) they collect their affiliation fees directly and up front and (b) payment processing fees are embedded rather than added-on at the end. Auckland Baseball Association (ABA) fees remain included in club fees. In total, keeping fees affordable is a significant investment in participation alongside our regional and national bodies – we ask that members register and make payment ASAP to support your club to invest in getting the season off to a strong start.

Registration Tips
GameDay is the new registration system for baseball in New Zealand. The form is a bit longer than usual and you have to start from scratch, but the GameDay Passport that you create will stick with you and make future registrations easier. A key challenge is making sure to select the correct “products” for your registration. At a minimum, these are your BNZ affiliation fee and your primary eligible grade for North Shore (or “non-playing member”).
Some other tips:
- Do not hit “refresh” on your browser while you have an incomplete form – you may lose your work.
- Have a photo ready for each person you’re registering and, if you’re a volunteer, a scan of suitable identification (e.g. passport) and your Police vetting form (see link below)
- Note that if you are only registering a child then you are completing the form with the child’s details – however, we recommend registering an adult at the same time (see “Non-Participant Memberships” below)

If you are registering to play for more than one grade, the following fee structure applies.
- Primary Fee: The full fee applies to the grade you are age eligible to play in during the 25/26 season, then
- Add-on Fee: A fee of $50 is due per additional grade (noting that these are subject to BNZ dispensation)
- If your primary grade is Premier / Reserves, no add-on fee is due if you play both Premier and Reserves (being rostered to both is a coaching matter)
- If you wish to register for Divisional (Core) and Divisional (Affiliate) make core the primary fee and affiliate the $50 add-on, not vice-versa
Cubs fees include a club cap and t-shirt. Other grades, excluding affiliates, should refer to our uniform information. While club jerseys are provided, custom (name and number) jerseys can be purchased via registration. All grades, excluding affiliates, are provided with team equipment.
Hardship
Aligning with Baseball New Zealand, we have moved to a pay-as-you-register model for the 25/26 season. If you are unable to do so, please (a) complete the registration process but only selecting to pay BNZ affiliation(s) then (b) apply for hardship consideration for club fees by emailing admin@nscbaseball.co.nz – we will agree a payment plan with you. Only agreed hardship individuals will be allowed to participate in pre-season training and seasonal activity – we otherwise operate on a strict “no pay, no play” basis i.e. everyone must be registered.
Participant Memberships
All baseball participants must register with Baseball New Zealand each season – this means not only players but also committee members, coaches, umpires, scorers / match officials, team managers, and other volunteers.
Note that all adults who select any volunteer role(s) will be put through police vetting. There are at least two documents you will need to upload: a photo ID and this form with your parts completed.

Non-Participant Memberships
We consider all parents of players under 18 to be de facto members. However, many parents will complete the participant membership form as volunteer coaches, umpires, scorers, and so on. For parents and other supporters that do not, we strongly encourage you to sign-up as non-participant club members for the 25/26 financial year for just $30. There is a shorter form for that, as follows.

Affiliate Divisional Teams
Note that our affiliate divisional teams (e.g. the Patriots) have transitioned from a team fee arrangement to a discounted player fee to reduce administrative burdens on all parties. The discounted player fee reflects that affiliate teams make less use of club facilities and provide their own equipment while still carrying ABA, BNZ, and some club overhead costs.
