Youth (5-13)

Baseball for ages 5-13 is roughly equally focused on developing baseball skills and having fun. Our 5-13 programme  is overseen by youth coaching lead TBD under our club head coach Toshiki Nakao and deputy Yuuki Takahashi and operates mostly out of Albany Domain (see individual team pages for more location details).

Cubs is an introduction to baseball for kids aged 5-7 incorporating basic skill training and fun game play. Sessions are run weekly on weekday evenings.

Minor League (10U) is a first experience of “real baseball” on a 60ft diamond – players have their first opportunity to play games of baseball and do all the things MLB stars do – pitch, catch and hit home runs – while being non-competitive to encourage equal participation and promote enjoyment of the game whilst developing the necessary skills.

Major League (12U) focuses on developing catching, throwing and hitting skills within a disciplined yet fun setting as players begin to leverage a competitive environment to boost their development and enjoyment.

Intermediate League (13U) continues to focus on development and enjoyment as players move up to a diamond with 70ft base paths and a pitching distance of 50ft.

Many of our players join as Cubs but new players join every year in each of these grades – as these are all developmental grades, all new players soon learn the skills needed to play the game.
